Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I call upon you to come into my life to save me and help me with these steps. Empower me to change my weakness into strength so i can live a life of freedom from addiction, to love and serve god, family, and friends. Amen.

Step 1: “I admit I am powerless over my addiction, that my life has become unmanageable.”

Step 2: “I came to believe that only Jesus my lord and savior could restore me to sanity.”

Step 3: “I made a decision to turn my will and life over to the care of the lord, just as I am”.

Step 4: “I made a search and fearless moral inventory of myself”.

Step 5: “I admitted to the lord, myself, and to another human being that exact nature of my wrongs”.

Step 6: “I am entirely ready to have god remove all these defects of character”.

Step 7: “I humbly asked Jesus to remove my shortcomings”.

Step 8: “I made a list of all persons I had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all”.

Step 9: “I made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others”.

Step 10: “I continue to take personal inventory and when I was wrong I promptly admitted it”.

Step 11: “I seek through prayer and meditation to improve my conscious contact with the lord, praying for the knowledge of his will for me and the power to carry that out”.

Step 12: “Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps I try to carry this message to others in need and to practice these principles in all my affairs."
